Strengthening Our Small Business Community

Issaquah boasts a vibrant network of small business owners, and I am proud to be part of this community. As a member of the Commercial Property Standing Committee, I am committed to advancing the Central Issaquah Plan, which aims to support new housing developments while encouraging mixed-use projects. My goal is to create an environment where small businesses can flourish alongside new residential spaces, fostering a dynamic community that benefits us all.

We already have great initiatives in the city, such as the Gilman Village fixed lease program, which provides stability for small businesses and encourages their growth. Additionally, the city is actively working on speeding up the permitting process, an effort that would significantly benefit businesses looking to establish themselves or expand in our community. By streamlining these processes, we can create a more favorable environment for entrepreneurs, ensuring that Issaquah remains a thriving place for small businesses to succeed and contribute to our local economy. Together, we can build a community that supports innovation, growth, and collaboration.
